I arrived in Athens Thursday morning at 0615 April 17th. My companion Daniela arrived at 1130. We collected our bags and headed out of terminal to the metro and train station across the street. You walk through an elevated and enclosed walkway to the station. As luck would have it there was as transportation strike that day. There would be no trains or metro between 10AM and 3PM. Daniela had done some home work for our trip and she already knew about all the transportation possibilities. She even knew which bus to take and where it would drop us in Athens. We purchased tickets for the bus to Syntagma Station. The plan was to take a taxi from Syntagma to our hotel.
